This doll is based on a country french blue and beige combination. These dolls make wonderful decorations and companions for younger children. They are not craft items. I finish all the seams, and the dresses can be unbuttoned and thrown into the washing machine like a normal outfit. The hair is sewn on by hand. I do not use glue on my most of my dolls. Many of my dolls are outlasting their owner's childhood, after being dragged around for years!! A doll similar to this one would cost $95. |

I always felt that it was important to have nice dolls of different ethnic groups. So many dolls in the stores have awful coloring. I thought this coffee brown was a lovely color, and the curly hair (it is glued on because it is next to impossible to sew on all the fine strands) lends a nice realistic touch. (I now use black yarn for my Afri-american dolls). Those are bunches of cherries on her blouse. !! A doll similar to this one would cost $95. |
I like
Victorian items, and this doll has a face that reminds me of
Victorian times. Her eyes and mouth are embroidered in Satin
stitch. She has fluttery willful bangs. !! A doll similar to this one would cost $95. |
