I
raised rabbits for seven years. We showed them for several years.
We built hutches, and watering systems, and brushed and groomed hundreds of rabbits over the years. Although we mainly raised Californians and New Zealands for meat, we also raised beautiful English Angoras for their fibers. After finding flat squished rabbits of all ages in our Rabbitry for 8 months, we were surprised by a five foot black snake coiled in one of our nesting boxes. He had two flat baby rabbits in his coils and we had to shoot him through the wires to solve the problem. We never did get over finding such a large black snake in our rabbitry, and it was the beginning of the end of our Rabbitry. These are some pictures from our Rabbit Days.
This is Tiffany, a Pearl English Angora doe. She has one droopy ear from being born in the heat of the summer. It looks like she is wearing a hat in the style of Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's."
This is Snowflake, a Grand Champion English Angora REW doe.
This is Mechita, a Chocolate English Angora. Mechita is spanish for Kitten.
 This is a chinchilla.
 This is Charity.
This is Felicity, Charity's 1/2 sister.
