Garden Tomb Hollyhocks are very easy and do NOT like to be coddled. I plant them shallowly, outside in full sun. Do not over water them since they like it a little on the dry side. Remember, they used to be planted out by the outhouse to hide it and signal where it was and I doubt they got much attention out there. :) The most glorious hollyhocks that I have seen were in Carson City, NV and it is a mile high, HOT and dry. They are biennials, so most of them bloom the second year. |
