If you are interested please call Carolyn at (864) 647-7318.
Phone calls will be returned as soon as possible.
I no longer receive emails because of the escalating quantity of spam and viruses.

SHIPPING: is usually not available due to weather restrictions that the airlines have.
Many people fly into Atlanta GA (2.5 hrs drive from us), or Charlotte NC (3 hrs drive from us),
and then drive to pick up the puppy, visit for a while,
and stuff the puppy in a soft sided Scherpa pet carrier and tuck it under their seat on the flight home.
Pets up to 25 pounds are allowed to travel this way.

The puppies below were all placed but are a great representation of what they all look like. Irish Terriers are born partly black and the red comes in as they mature. By the time they are about 8 weeks old, they only have black on their nose, ears, tails and sometimes the spine. The black completely disappears by the time they are about 6 months.

Please note that the agencies that I advertise with restrict the use of any links on this page, in order to prevent abuse of their system. I respect this and for this reason I do not have links to my website available here.

My puppies are born and raised as part of our family. I have four children left at home who are very intimately involved in the socialization and rearing of the puppies (how does one keep children away from puppies?). By the time the puppies are ready to be placed at 8 weeks of age, they are crate trained (except for an overnight straggler whose bladder is not mature enough yet) , used to the leash and happy and healthy. We begin to acquaint the puppies with leash training at 49 days. I only raise Irish Terriers and I encourage everyone to visit us if at all possible so that they can see how and where our puppies are raised, and that we are not a puppy mill. First and foremost, these are our pets and members of our family. I place each puppy individually and I NEVER wholesale puppies. We place our AKC puppies as pets. We do not want them ending up in Puppy Mills or with Showring breeders. We have the standard one year health guarantee for genetic defects with our puppies as do all reputable breeders.

Puppies are weaned when they are 6 weeks old. We raise the puppies on Pedigree Puppy Chow because it is readily available and it is a starting point for new owners.

Also, there are a lot of articles at my website, TanagerSongFarm.com , about dogs and one that I wrote concerning my philosophy on puppy socialization.

These four puppies are from a previous litters but they help to represent what my puppies look like. Since they wouldn't hold still for two seconds put together, these are the best shots that I could get. I have my daughter hold the puppy around the tummy above the table and we count to three. She drops the puppy to the table and I snap the camera button. This is why some of the backs are slightly higher, from being held by her there. I do not have hump backed dogs, LOL
